Mark S. Link, MD, FHRS

Mark is a Professor of Medicine at UTSouthwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He is the Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology in the Department of Internal Medicine/Division of Cardiology. His research interests are in arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation and sudden cardiac death in athletes. He developed an experimental model of commotio cordis, sudden cardiac death with impact to the chest. He is on multiple American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology Guidelines Writing Committees, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Eligibility and Disqualification Recommendations for Competitive Athletes with Cardiovascular Abnormalities, and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. He is an active clinician and one of his primary focuses is the care of athletes, athletes with underlying cardiac abnormalities and the prevention of sudden cardiac death.
